Subject: Problem Installing Version 4.32

Hi, I downloaded the software on a Windows 7 machine. The installation opened and then showed a message that it is checking the package and extracting the data. The message goes away and then nothing happens. I downloaded it the second time and the same happened. I tried to install it as the Admininstrator but the same happened. 


Any idea of what could be the problem?

Install Shield for KMotion4.32 had some issues in certain rare cases. We have a test version of KMotion that should resolve this issue.  There are some patches that need to be applied to the test version once installed, but let's get the software working first and then we can apply the patch.

You can download the latest test version here: http://dynomotion.com/Software/KMotion433l.exe

Once you have this running, you will need to Flash the New Version to KFLOP using the Config & Flash screen within the software.

Since your board was shipped with KMotion.exe version 4.32, we now need to flash the new version that you were able to install to the board.  But first we need to patch the new version with the corrected .out file. 

After exiting the program, please download the new DSPKFLOP.out file from post #16 here:

And copy it into the KMotion433l/DSP_KFLOP/ directory, overwriting the file that is in there.

Then start the KMotion 4.33L software and connect KFLOP to your computer.

On the "Config & Flash" screen, choose "New Version", click 'Yes' to the pop-up warning, then 'Open' after verifying the correct directory for the DSPKFLOP.out file is chosen - it should be automatic if you started the correct KMotion.exe.

Then wait for the operation to complete and cycle power on KFLOP to boot the new version.

And that should get you up and running.

Tom sent me a link to 4.33n which I downloaded. This installed fine and runs.  Can I just install the new version (.out) from the install directory?

Yes for V4.33n just used the .out installed.
